Start with consent and care
Before recording, make sure the people present are comfortable being filmed. Do not post anything that could hurt or embarrass someone when it is viewed later.
Content you may not post
- Child sexual exploitation, sexual imagery or video, or non-consensual sexual content
- Bullying, harassment, threats, discrimination, or hate speech
- Graphic violence or content that promotes self-harm or suicide
- Content that promotes crime, dangerous conduct, illegal drugs, or fraud
- Addresses, contact details, school names, or other personal information shared against someone’s wishes
- Unauthorized use of another person’s copyrighted work, music, video, or likeness
- Impersonation, spam, or content created only for promotion
Do not rely solely on visibility settings
Kaiwai Kaiwai shows videos only to participants, but a participant may save a video to their device or share it elsewhere. Do not record anything that should never leave the group or that reveals someone else’s private information.
Reporting and blocking
To report an uncomfortable video, use the “…” menu in the upper-right corner of the playback screen. To block a friend, swipe that person’s row in the Friends list under Settings. Blocking limits what you and the other person can see and how you can interact. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact the police or an appropriate local service in addition to contacting us.
How we respond to violations
We review reported content and may remove a post, stop its distribution, restrict features, or suspend an account. Serious or repeated violations may result in account deletion without prior notice.
Contacting the operator
If you cannot report something in the app, or need to request removal for an infringement of rights, use the support page. Include the relevant display name, Kaiwai name, date and time, and a description of what happened.
